Forgiveness - Gifts

Some of the greatest gifts of forgiveness are the realizations of peace. You realize that no time was ever wasted, you were never a mistake in anyone's life, and no one was ever a mistake in yours. Because no matter how long a painful experience was present in your life, it was only there the exact amount of time it needed to be to show you what you know today as truth. This realization cannot be felt before forgiveness of yourself or others, but it will always be felt once you have fully forgiven.

Trust - Opening Up

Opening yourself up to a person takes a huge amount of courage and trust. Even if you think you know, you never really know how they will react or respond and that will always be out of your control. In keeping them out, you keep the risk of disappointment and pain out. But in keeping them out, you keep the chance of acceptance and love out, too. In the end, you really have to decide if the risk or the chance is more important to you and act accordingly.

Time - Making Time

We are here for a very short time.
It's easy to get distracted or become so ingrained in habits that time seems to slip by faster than it really does.
Once you realize you've not spent enough of your time where you wanted it to be, it's important to stay aware of where your minutes and hours are spent daily.
Make your priorities into priorities instead of putting them off for some other time.

Forgiveness - What it is

Forgiveness only means to let go of resentment towards a person or event. It means to accept that it happened, and to move on from there. It does not mean to pretend that it never happened at all.

Appreciation - Ebb and Flow

Everything in the world has a natural ebb and flow. The tides move out but flow in again. While the flow is much more comfortable, the ebb has great meaning. When time and resources are stripped away, you can see clearly what and who truly matters to you and who you matter to in return. When your flow returns, you'll know exactly with who and where your time will be best spent, with a brand new appreciation for it all.
